If you have loving parents, you might sometimes feel like they’re always telling you to play it
safe.
That was me coming out of law school.
I was offered a job at a law firm defending insurance companies.
Great pay. Great job security.
But with one kid and another on the way, I had to say “no.” because I knew what it meant.
80 hour work weeks.
Heavy caseloads.
But more importantly – I knew I’d end up sympathizing with the injured people on the other side
and I’d still have to fight them.
I’d be defending the interests of insurance companies, not necessarily what’s fair or what’s just.
If I’d taken that job, I might have been the lawyer across the table from you.
That’s why I decided to start my own firm.
It wasn’t an easy decision.
I was taking a risk on myself.
But the incentive for my clients drove me the most.
I don’t get paid unless you do.
That’s a very different incentive from billing an insurance company for legal work.
I made that bet 20 years ago.
And I’d make it again.

P.S. If you think you have a case worth fighting for, you deserve a firm that’s willing to spend
what it takes to prove it – not just file it and hope.
It’s why we’ve earned a reputation as a “true trial” injury law firm. We’re not afraid to take cases
to trial when needed, and there’s no cost to find out if your case could be one of them.
