You may remember the old joke that FORD stands for “Fix Or Repair Daily.” Unfortunately, the company is back in the spotlight again — this time with another major recall.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), more than 312,000 Ford vehicles may have a dangerous brake defect. The recall affects several 2025 models, including the Lincoln Navigator, F-150, Expedition, Bronco, and Ranger. Download the official Recall 573 Report here.
Why Is Ford Recalling These Vehicles?
The issue stems from a defective Electronic Brake Booster (EBB) module. This system helps power your brakes. When the module fails, it can cause a loss of braking power — even while driving or using the vehicle’s Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
When this happens, the vehicle may not slow or stop as expected, dramatically increasing the risk of a crash.
The NHTSA estimates that about 1% of affected vehicles could experience this problem. The recall includes:
-
217,969 F-150 trucks
-
26,582 Expedition SUVs
-
39,913 Broncos
-
20,552 Rangers
-
7,104 Lincoln Navigators
